Responsibilities:

  • Must understand audiovisual, display and videoconferencing equipment, applications, and functionality.
  • Must understand remote control system products and applications (Crestron/AMX,etc.)
  • Must demonstrate experience completing technical installation of audiovisual systems, including:
    • Equipment rack fabrications
    • Site preparations
    • Termination and calibration of audio and video equipment
    • Implementation of Crestron and AMX control systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ installation experience required
  • Lead Technicians will have installation experience with complex AV systems projects.
  • Requires working knowledge of commercial construction environments ( power, conduit, core drills)
  • Audio CAD/Vid CAD a plus
  • Preferred applicants should be able to disc examples of completed projects and provide positive references.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet) required.

  • Rigging/mounting of equipment and displays.
  • Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables.
  • Install Crestron, AMX, and other control systems
  • Install video conferencing systems including Cisco-Tandberg
  • Assist with Structural installation of displays, screens and projectors
  • Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma. Applicable degree preferred
  • Possesses solutions based sales experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as lead technician, managing installation team
  • Experience in System Design a plus
  • CTS Certification with project management experience desired
  • Certification by manufacturer or product a plus
  • A team player with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Professional and personable demeanor with good written/verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook
  • Priority will be given to candidate with a proven track record working with IP and QoS solutions, and/or knowledge of Cisco product offerings in the A/V space
  • Knowledge of the entire H. 323 suite of standards
  • Knowledge of compression and file format standards (MPEG3, MPEG4, etc.)

  • Troubleshooting with packet traces, debugs and their Interpretation required.
    Understanding of QOS technologies ( L2 QOS , L3 QOS , LLQ , CBWFQ, Policing , Traffic Shaping etc)
  • Working Experience with Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Working Experience with WAN technologies (Frame Relay, PTP links and MPLS)
